After 8 weeks of training I got my Certification as a NAUI diver in 1979 while station in Hawaii. Was an extremely active diver up until 1984 when I got stationed in Mayport, Fl and my children got older. I mainly did shore diving around Oahu while in homeport Pearl Harbor and Grande Island & Cubi Point, when I was stationed at Subic Bay, Philippines (snorkel out and drop to bottom and worked my way back in). My boat diving experience during this time included: Great Barrier Reef; Pattaya Beach, Thialand; Midway Island and Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands.
I got back into diving in 2006 as part of my post divorce step plan to regain some of my life favorite hobbies. I took the PADI diver course as refresher before jumping in the water and been trying to dive as often as possible.
