Y‑40 is a geothermally heated dive pool in Montegrotto Terme (near Padua, Italy), reaching a maximum depth of 42.15 m — over 130 ft — and holding around 4.3 million liters of warm (32–34°C) thermal water.
It features multilevel platforms, artificial caves, and a 13 m transparent underwater tunnel for viewing dives, making it ideal for freediving, scuba training, research, and even film/video productions.
Since opening on 5 June 2014, it set a Guinness World Record and remains the world’s deepest geothermally heated pool, attracting divers, freediving champions, artists, and researchers year-round.
