Chikin Ha means “Western Water”. Parque Chikin Ha has 3 cenotes - Cenote X’tabay, Cenote Ta’ak Bil-Ha (aka Cenote Rainbow), and Cenote Chikin Ha.
The dive starts in a semi-open cenote - Cenote Chikin Ha. This cenote has two separate entrances, each with its own independent permanent cavern guideline.
The cavern is very spacious, a perfect cenote for first-time cenote divers. You’ll be amazed by the massive tunnel called the “Halocline Room” where you’ll experience the cool blurry effects of the halocline - the point where fresh and saltwater meet. This tunnel takes you to Cenote Rainbow - where you’ll be treated with beautiful light beams and a gorgeous view when we surface.
After enjoying the tree roots, stalactites, and beauty of Cenote Rainbow, we’ll descend back down and dive back to Cenote Chikin Ha on the other permanent cavern guideline, enjoying fossils & halocline along the way.
